I rather enjoy it. Its kind of ironic in the sense that it is absolutely nitch like what I had pictured in my head, but in the end I still think its a decent piece. In my mind there was a lot more yellow and pastle and over all "candy" effect, but when I was painting it killed me to add so much yellow and it just kinda got slapped with blues and purples, lolz. I dont know, i'm going to have to challenge myself and make an exclusively yellow painting one day as an exercise or something, i'm not sure. BUT YEAH! What do you feel? I'm thinking of ordering it as a giclee or an ACEO...Might have to think on that one.
NEXT BI-WEEKLY THEME!!!!
Alter Ego
Theme details:
This means you in a totally different universe! You could be a super hero, a mad villain, a space alien or a dinosaur, anything you want.
No size restrictions
No Media restrictions
Only rule is to make sure you go all out!!
This is your chance to be whoever or whatever you want to be! Make it count!!
Not sure why but i've had an extreme lack of motivation to do much of anything?
But today I started doodling ideas for our Random Outing logo and intend to finish my painting for the CandyLand Bi-Weekly theme if I can get around to it. I'm not sure why its taking me forever to get that done but truly, I think its just lack of motivation.
Maybe two weeks is too long of a time span? I'm not sure.
Hmm so...
Random Outing!
(A Family Outing Parody)
Basically we're tired of watching awesome game shows and have decided to create our own!
We plan to have our first filming in April in Savannah, so thats exciting. This first episode will be more about getting to know each other and the games will be directed towards building a closeness in that manner. Think of this as something like MXC meets Big Brother if you haven't seen Family Outing for reference.
So far our group consists of :
Christi Thomas
Chrissy Powell
Stefani Delo
Jorel Belarmino
Vlad Mackarov
We're looking for some more men to help it balance. At least one more.
We've got some good games planned out though...I think this will be enjoyable =]
Our logo is a play on theirs, which can be found here:
So as you may know (you should know!) that our theme for this next couple weeks is Candy Land! I went to Target in the blind hope that they'd have the original I loved so much, but alas, all they had was the new version. Im not sure why a game like Candy Land needed updating, but whatever. My biggest gripe is how they changed and got rid of some of the characters. They didn't change the game any it seems, but just totally revamped random people, and in doing such, turned the prettiest character into some weird ice skater!
RIP Frostine.
Anyway, they did have THIS which I thought was kind of cool for preschools or whatever. The game board and game has been contained within this plastic form that is shaped much like a book, so that the teachers can clean it up, close it, and just put it on the shelf amongst the other games made like this (of which they had a whole variety)
I did think this was a pretty cool idea as it'll make the shelves look much cleaner and the games are almost guaranteed a longer life span. So that was a proper upgrade.
So in other news, here is where i'm at for my candy land drawing:
Finish painting CandyLand piece in between 11 and 7. Z'okay.
Let the excitement begin! Im looking forward to my new hair and to this dance class a crazy amount, so I really hope they both work out well. I figure if the hair doesn't i'll just become an avid beenie wearer (more so than usual) and if the dance class doesn't, well, you only pay per class from what I understand so no loss there.
Also, on a different note, so far my opinion of Brutal Legend? It 'effing rocks. \m/
I can't wait to be able to dance sharply to this song:
While the video makes me sad as its become so americanized and lost its originality, the song is still amazing~
