Fairies for you, fairies for me

So, in conjunction with my Cherry stationary, I am currently working on a custom piece for a lovely lady from work. She asked for something fairy related, which should be fun. I drew a couple sketches at Barnes and Noble the other night (random side story with that), the first having the fairy clutching a giant cherry, which I really liked, but she had asked for three things:
  1. Fairy
  2. In the middle of a lake
  3. Butterflys

So I changed the cherry into a large droplet of water, or a pearl (still undecided there), placed her floating in the middle of a lake, with butterflies around her in the background. Classic, no? I really like the sketch which I will scan in and place here in a couple hours. Until then, here are some fairy pictures I enjoy:

Ok not a fairy but if you click on it to enlarge it, you'll see how very cool it is:

Anyway, side note of Barnes and Noble: I always tend to create something there that I like in my sketch book. I dont really know what it is, but I just always come home with a sketch that I continue to develop there. Also, I dont know about the Barnes and Noble where you're at, but they've completely done away with the Manga section at our Barnes and Noble. I walked the whole store over and the section is simply gone.

RIP

  1. Interesting! Because at our Barnes and Noble (Twin Falls, Idaho) they have cut the graphic novel section down to a quarter of its previous size and have enlarged the Manga section to about twice its original size. It is now HUGE!! I know I'm a complete stranger to you - I happened upon your blog through another blog while doing a search for images, and I've really been enjoying looking through your work. You are incredibly talented!
