So today I finished all the priliminary paint work to my halloween series. I hope to have it scanned it and begin the computer editing either tonight or tomorrow. FINALLY got the adobe suite back on my laptop so...

I already have a feel for what I want my next series to be but I wish I could combine photos in with it...except I don't really have access to the areas I would need to get the right photos. Who knows though. Anyway...I'd love to do some sort of travel series.

Maybe i'll doodle on that at the vet...

So after a long period of slacking, I have developed a working concept for a new set of postcards! ( It's seeming more and more like i'm going to have an abundance of postcards?) But I was thinking that I really need to turn out more product for my etsy shop as I've more or less turned a blind eye to it as of late. So in celebration of the upcoming holiday (Halloween!) i've sketched a bunch of wonderful doodles for some postcard designs! Also possibly bookmarks or buttons, but for sure postcards... I actually can't wait to get home and start working on them with my paint and pens!

A very merry unbirthday...

So! In a couple of weeks I will be hosting my own Unbirthday Party. We've already had a little outting dressed in character in VA (should probably post photos from that in the near future if I haven't already.) Anyway! This little get together is going to be something of a 'thank you' for the girls for coming all the way down from VA and GA for our house warming party the following day. Anyway! I've been looking up inspiration outside of my own mad ideas...

Would certainly be fun to perhaps do an official photo shoot with this theme?

While scanning Deviant Art I came across this wonderful artist by the handle Einlee. I really like the color contrast in this particular drawing, as well as the monkey, lolz. Look at that face!.

Look at the way she did the stomach and arm/neck definition on Ariel, as well as the shimmers on her tail. I think this particular piece is absolutely amazing and am completely in love with it. I also really like the way she did the fins on the tail, because that area can get messed up really fast if you're not careful.

I think I will allow her to inspire some pieces for my manga in the works.

Big Bend National Park, Texas

So...lately ive been feeling so restless with life. I want to go out and see things, places, people...One of the main places that I really want to go to is Texas. Seems strange, right? But theres a national park there called

Big Bend.

But oh, I wanna go there. It's so big that it has rapids (el rio grande), desert, mountains, canyons...you can literally spend like a month (or more) going through this place. That's actually what Vlad and I said today, just go out there for like one month and hike through it. I bet it'd be amazing. I also bet you would learn a lot about yourselves.

I spent four days hiking in Peru and felt absolutely amazing (although I did zone sometimes, but even then I was looking around and just amazed by the things around me.) I think a car, a tent, and a canoe (along with basic needs stuff) would be absolutely amazing. I think a group of two or four would be just about right. Not really enough to piss you off, and just enough to have fun with and enjoy things. Plus then you can share cooking duties.

I want to do this.
