Kuranosuke Koibuchi

So I will be cosplaying at this next con in ATL in September as Kuranosuke.  I'm thinking one of these two looks (above or below.)  Personally the top one is cuter to me but I think the second may be more recognizable.  My friend Chrissy Powell with be Tsukimi!

Have I let you down lately?

I feel that my responsibility of keeping up with my blog has taken a major down fall lately! I've had things to blog about as well, but it just hasn't happened? Anyway...lots of new things going on over here...

  • Finally got moved in (though still not completely) in our town house. The decor is looking great.

  • Been busy practicing tattoos

  • Started painting again...

These are my total fan arts of Chrissy Powell's Sugar Ninjas, I believe it was. Drew them up a looonnnggg time ago and finally water colored them last night to get back into things. Had a very definite idea for Sweet but for some reason I was very lost on Spicy, lolz. Strange, yeah? I intend to put photoshop skillzorz on them as soon as I reinstall those programs on my laptop but until I have chance to do that, this is how they shall look. I'd like to take better photos for you soon. Hope you like them! You can find Chrissy's original character designs here :

Its funny to me to look at because even though they're the same personas, the entire thing feel's sooooo different with our drawing styles! lolz. Her's are super cute, and like, the thighs on my Sweet are like BAM, lmao. But I like them regardless :3

Bi-Weekly Draw Fest

So for starters, I have completed my cherry stationary drawing. I have to say though, I dont really like it. I was okay with it at first, but then it kind of turned into not liking it rather quickly as soon as I applied color (go figure.) I know now how I should've gone about things, by keeping the line work seperate and then having a seperate colored layer, but hey, live and learn right? Now i'll know better the next time we take on stationary. Anyway, here it is, my cherry tree drawing:

This one below is Chrissy Powells creation for the cherry theme. She says its incomplete as well. We both seem to have quams with ours but like I said, its a learning process! I think its really cute really, and that a lil shading would've pushed it into the "finished" place. Its pretty cute though =}

You can find more of Chrissy's stuff at

In relation to this, the next Bi-Weekly drawing assignment has been released. Its been decided that the drawing will be done in print format, as a Giclee print, so thats neat.

The topic is:

Now, it doesn't matter how stars are fit into it really. They can be in the background, they can be entertainment stars, they can be pattern in the background, anything. I've been thinking and im still unsure how to take it...Will probably try to create something to tie into my Alice series. Or maybe not...I dont knooooowwww. What do you think? I could create a seperate piece to add more variety or add another piece to the Alice series to help it expand? Im unsure...

In other news: I might have a bite on my Alice series...she seems to be requesting a cheshire, which I already have several drawings of but they're all boys, and I feel she may be asking for a female version similiar to White Rabbit. Perhaps I should do a drawing of Cheshire and Mad Hatter to fit those drawings. Obviously not in panties and bras, and ya know, lolz.

RoboSuplex by Chrissy Powell

Featured Artist:  Chrissy Powell

Chrissy is a friend from when I went to SCAD who's blog I recently began following (http://robosuplex.blogspot.com/)  We used to share our own blog as well, but I was horrible at keeping it updated/anything computer related.  On the left, you can see a doodle she had made for the page featuring her (screaming) and me (zoning), lolz.  Gotta love it.

Her new art uses lots of bright colors and quirky designs, with a child friendly, whimsical feel.  Currently shes focusing on a card set featuring robots, good vs evil, hence the robo suplex link above.  Below i've included two samples of her new work: a good guy (Green Steel/Acero Verde) and a bad guy (The Fatty/ El Gordito)  Both are from her new trading card set.
