I'm sorry but this just hurts my heart.

So, I've already had to drop $1400 into my car this past Wednesday just to get it to where I should've been able to drive the car to Savannah this upcoming Thursday, which means I put off things like the air filter and such as they don't really effect the safety and ability of the car to drive. There were a few various other things that I was told would need to be fixed but that they weren't imminent and that I should be able to pay for those check by check from the up coming race events, and that the car was completely able to drive to Savannah and back now.

But then, on Monday, while driving in it for probably the 4th time since I had gotten it back out of the shop, the car started bouncing and shaking and the check engine light came on (yeah no shit). SO! I called the Mercedes place, took it back in, and just found out that apparently a bunch of wires and coils or something have fallen off, down, out, I don't know exactly, but that its going to take roughly $1700 more to fix that.

This will bring my total of fixing that car to roughly $4500.

I looked it up. I can purchase a brand new 2010 model of my car for $45,700.

WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE COME ON!?

This fucker better fly when I get it back after all this, or heads will roll.

Yesterday's adventures...

Spent yesterday at grandma and grandpa's house in Palm coast (or at least the evening.) My brothers Brian and Bradley, as well as my Uncle Todd, were out on the dock fishing for a while. Didn't expect to catch anything cause it was pretty cold due to wind chill, but they caught two sting rays and an eel (all of which they threw back.) The sting rays were pretty cool looking, because they'd try to swim but were on land. I felt bad they got caught for nothing though (cause they bit the hook regardless, ya know?) but they did get thrown back out so that was good at least. Totally made me think of Family Outing though man.

Then I was walking back up to house and saw an armadillo run across neighbors yard towards the one I was in, so I ran up over to him and was able to get really close for a picture. He looked all sleepy and stuff. He was pretty cute :3

Then he got really scared though when I stood up to leave and took back off across other yard.

Heres fun thing though...I mentioned to Todd how i'd love to take canoe or something out to the islands on the intercoastal and just spend day looking around (cause there are all sorts of things out there like horse shoe crabs, rays, regular crabs, etc.) and he mentioned how he has a canoe and could easily go out there one day (check the tides) and camp on one of those islands.

me, " DUDE LETS DO IT!" lolz.

Think about how neat that would be? To go out there, spend day just searching small island and then setting up camp there. Man i'd be all over there. Cause you can fish and catch own food and stuff! Todd knows how to prepare all that, I don't, but i'd watch! and learn! I'm all for it man. It'd be sooooo fun! Just got to wait for this weather to warm up a little...

All sorts of things out there though. Todd's seen bob cats even, but I dont think they'd be on the islands we're talking bout since they're in middle of Intercoastal. Lots of horse shoe crabs, fishys, and such though, which will be fun. I can't wait!

(Random Outing adventure, per haps?)

Ah, then on way off island (my grandparents house) I had to stop and let a bunch of deer cross road in front of me, lolz. It was a neat trip.

Legs so tired

So I just got back from dance class, and my legs are committing mutiny. I need to do some pop squats and push ups or something for this next segment we just learned tonight lolz. It involves upper body (of which I have none) and lots of dropping and popping back up, and given that my normal routine consist of none of that, i should probably work it in somewhere.
I've been thinking about asking more about the private lessons and seeing if I can't get a routine for a song choreographed just for me *___* Something that I can do myself...
I've been thinking between
  1. Slick Dogg - Dance
  2. Roslin Murphy - Ramalama Bang Bang
  3. Big Bang - Lollipop

But the Big Bang would need more people than just me, soooo, lolz. Heres a video clip of Youngbae and Jiyong doing a short routine to Slick Dogg- Dance.

ps. Why haven't I been inspired to draw anything lately??

Hey Gurl!

Well, some how... I have successfully wasted another week? I can honestly say that this past tuesday (yesterday) snuck up on me in a surprising manner. Lack of motivation almost made me miss my dance class but I was glad I got off my butt and went. Its just so easy to seclude myself and not do much of anything. I wish I was back at my old level of picking things up as quickly as I used to...I used to be a sponge with this stuff!
Now its like *has to force left foot in front of right--*
I was saying earlier I wish I could afford to go to more dance classes and just get out there and move my body more, but hey, price of life! and..I do mean price.
I know.
I need a sponser! lolz.
But i'd love to be able to be in a professional group...but one class a week for one hour isn't gonna get me there =/ But you know what...it does get me out of the house, and has me moving, so, thats what's important.
Hmm..maybe i'll get some art done tomorrow...

CandyLand

So as you may know (you should know!) that our theme for this next couple weeks is Candy Land! I went to Target in the blind hope that they'd have the original I loved so much, but alas, all they had was the new version. Im not sure why a game like Candy Land needed updating, but whatever. My biggest gripe is how they changed and got rid of some of the characters. They didn't change the game any it seems, but just totally revamped random people, and in doing such, turned the prettiest character into some weird ice skater!

RIP Frostine.

Anyway, they did have THIS which I thought was kind of cool for preschools or whatever. The game board and game has been contained within this plastic form that is shaped much like a book, so that the teachers can clean it up, close it, and just put it on the shelf amongst the other games made like this (of which they had a whole variety)

I did think this was a pretty cool idea as it'll make the shelves look much cleaner and the games are almost guaranteed a longer life span. So that was a proper upgrade.

So in other news, here is where i'm at for my candy land drawing:

Exciting things on the horizon!

So heres what's what:
  1. Hair cut tomorrow, 11 o'clock. Z'omg.
  2. Dance Class at 7:30. Z'omg.
  3. Finish painting CandyLand piece in between 11 and 7. Z'okay.

Let the excitement begin!
Im looking forward to my new hair and to this dance class a crazy amount, so I really hope they both work out well. I figure if the hair doesn't i'll just become an avid beenie wearer (more so than usual) and if the dance class doesn't, well, you only pay per class from what I understand so no loss there.

Also, on a different note, so far my opinion of Brutal Legend? It 'effing rocks. \m/

I can't wait to be able to dance sharply to this song:

While the video makes me sad as its become so americanized and lost its originality, the song is still amazing~

Fairies for you, fairies for me

So, in conjunction with my Cherry stationary, I am currently working on a custom piece for a lovely lady from work. She asked for something fairy related, which should be fun. I drew a couple sketches at Barnes and Noble the other night (random side story with that), the first having the fairy clutching a giant cherry, which I really liked, but she had asked for three things:
  1. Fairy
  2. In the middle of a lake
  3. Butterflys

So I changed the cherry into a large droplet of water, or a pearl (still undecided there), placed her floating in the middle of a lake, with butterflies around her in the background. Classic, no? I really like the sketch which I will scan in and place here in a couple hours. Until then, here are some fairy pictures I enjoy:

Ok not a fairy but if you click on it to enlarge it, you'll see how very cool it is:

Anyway, side note of Barnes and Noble: I always tend to create something there that I like in my sketch book. I dont really know what it is, but I just always come home with a sketch that I continue to develop there. Also, I dont know about the Barnes and Noble where you're at, but they've completely done away with the Manga section at our Barnes and Noble. I walked the whole store over and the section is simply gone.

RIP

New Years Eve

Happy New Years Eve!

So, whats your new years eve resolution?

I have a couple....

  1. Lose this holiday weight!
  2. To begin developing my business in a professional manner.
  3. To continue to develop at least one new piece every two weeks.
  4. Enter a couple pieces into a show.
  5. To buy that Epson printer I want.
  6. To get a tattoo gun before 2011.

So I have six resolutions...I think I can do them, as most of them revolve around the same thing - my art. My holiday weight is a classic New Years Eve thing, but whatever. I've only gained two pounds since christmas but, xD Two pounds can turn into five, which then you get fine with and doesn't seem so bad, and then that gains another pound or two, or another-- etc etc.
What are you going to do this evening? I'm gonna spend it with my mom, my brother, his wife, and his friend. My husband has to work tonight (as always!!) so i'll be here. =]

Okay two things....

God bless Eddie Izzard.

Secondly, God bless Lewis Carroll for giving me so much to work with. I've decided I rather kind of freakishly love Alice in Wonderland, which is fair to say, I think. While working on some paintings for buttons/stickers, "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane came on and I think that that rather describes my idea of my wonderland. A little twisted and disturbing but interesting at the same time...why? I'm not sure. Hell, why not.

Anyway, I developed this Alice series about a year or two ago (the concept sketches, etc) and am finally developing them. In my world, the Red Queen is slowly taking over by poisoning the inhabitants of Wonderland...she marks each one of them in one way or another. For my mad hatter, she took his eye...but with him its a bit of a wonder on if he's twisted or not, as she more so took from him than scared him. Thats still up in the air. The one person she really wanted was the cat (think Queen Beryl with Endymion) but he had no interest in being involved in, well, basically anything. I have some drawings where he is with Alice, in some weird twisted relationship, and I have some drawings where the Queen has finally marked him and poisoned him. I think originally I was just developing my own manga, lolz. The Rabbit is twisted, I believe, and more or less as much of a trickster as the Cheshire is. To me she doesn't really talk, just smiles and does creepy things like leading people down rabbit holes, lolz.

Alice has gone through a variety of looks...still not sure i've settled, lolz. Long hair, short hair, long dress, short dress, who knowwwwwss yet. I still have people to be drawn as well, such as the march hair, the little mouse in the tea pot, the white knight...I *have* got sketches or finished drawings of the cat, the red queen, the white queen, the hatter, and the catepillar.

I dont really understand the point of this ramble, and suppose its all thanks to Baileys, but whatever. Heres a sample of what i'll be painting for my Mad Hatter.
