Bookmarks...

So I've decided to work on my bookmarks and try to get those produced...I'd like to have a good set of things on my etsy site soon (which involves spending money to get the products made, ugh-) to show a more rounded set of products. Basically all I have on there is the Ladies of Wonderland and my Valentine/Retro set.

I've had this idea for my places of the world bookmarks for a while and for some reason, drew up a bunch of sketches, annnndddd then did absolutely nothing with it. So i'm looking forward to this. It could be a good step, I believe.

I've started on my Japanese one first, of course, mainly because it had the most established and fleshed out sketches.

Those are the ones I have sketches for...I'll upload my Japanese one soon.

Operation: Get to Japan!

So, I've decided how to spend remaining money I'll be saving...I'll put it back for my trip to Japan! I think this year will be the last year that i'll be working the races, so this'll be the best time to actively set aside money for such a trip, and I figure in a year or two i'll have saved enough for a trip to Japan. This will also give me time to figure out exactly where I want to go and how to go about it in the cheapest, safest manner.

These next two are in Kyoto.

Looks pretty amazing...I want to spend a month or two there, I feel, in order to just REALLY see Japan and not be horribly rushed through things. I want to stay in hostels, or a Ryokan , which is basically a japanese inn, where you stay in a room with tatami mats and its all about traditional japanese hospitality. Detailed info here:

The years are gonna go by regardless, and it's my dream to go to Japan, so. Also, I figure if I go there and promote myself with my art then I can write it off as a business trip and get some money back at the end of that year as well.

I'm going to go. Even if I have to go alone, I will go to Japan.
